haven't updated the site in a while because i've been working on a huge project and it will take at least a month for it to be complete enough to have it up and running. it's a sort of commonplace book/zettelkasten/personal wiki, a digital garden if you will, and it's based on what i use on obsidian (which is also incomplete agh!) + my tumblr tag system, so i have a lot of information to go through and collect and read etc. etc., which to be fair are all activities i love doing, i'm just impatient.
i've been listening to i bet on losing dogs by mitski on loop and my mind right now is just a mix of my baby my baby you're my baby, janky html/css code and daredevil (seriously thinking about making a matt murdock shrine btw)… so i cannot for the life of me think of anything else to write here, enjoy some mundane moments!
keep forgetting i have a blog now, i'm just not used to it! i've been journaling on and off since i was in elementary school but never on the internet because i'm shy on every plane of existence, so this is a sort of exercise to give myself backbone, which is actually one of my new years' resolutions (the other one is to bake new recipes btw).
anyway, in webdev news i made an art depot page to collect my favorite art pieces! i love calling it a «depot» because it reminds me of one of the coolest places i've ever visited – the depot boijmans van beuningen in rotterdam – where you get to see how a museum collection is stored & some interesting exhibitions. all the pieces are organized by material (bc of humidy reasons), except the paintings which are all stored together in chronological order. there is also a floor where you can see art restorers at work!! (can you tell i'm an avid baumgartner restoration watcher lmao)
hello hello! first captain's log! i'm still deciding what this blog will be like, but for now i'm just glad to a have a space to yap about the website instead of filling up my precious hobonichi weeks entries with html ramblings.
this mac os 8 inspired layout is based on what has been my tumblr theme for many years now, it feels nostalgic even
though i've never used it on an actual computer. i can't help but feel like it's missing some decorations though, so that's on the to-do list!
also need to sort out the icons
situation (the tumblr theme works with a single image and i want to understand how to change the icons individually), will this actually
make me learn css instead of fumbling around like usual? probably not to be honest.
